SWINDON (COMMON PLATT) GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Wiltshire village of Common Platt, close to Purton and Swindon, had a greyhound track in the late 1960s which was situated at 1°50' W 51°34' N. The track was located to the rear of the Forresters Arms Public House and raced on Saturday evenings.

The track had a circumference of 400 yards, running sprints over 375 yards, standard races over 525 yards, and distance races over 600 yards.
